Food supplement with P-5-P
The abbreviation P-5-P stands for the name pyridoxal-5-phosphate. This is based on the active coenzyme form of vitamin B 6, which has a decisive advantage: it no longer has to be converted by the liver, but can go straight into the metabolism in this form. The usual form of vitamin B 6 (pyridoxine) must always be converted into P-5-P in order to be effective.
The water-soluble B vitamin is involved in over 100 enzymatic reactions, especially in amino acid and protein metabolism.
Vitamin B6 is mainly needed to support neurotransmitter synthesis and thereby ensure an emotional balance. In addition, activated vitamin B6 has a positive effect on the functioning of the nervous and immune systems.
